Work Advantage Career Specialist Mr. John Teixeira




John Teixeira is a Career Specialist for the WAP program at Arbor Education and Training. In this position, he identifies barriers that clients face in regards to becoming employed, and provides resources that combat those barriers. Further, John provides motivational support to job seekers during the job search process. As a trainer, John conducts various workshops, including, application completion, resume writing and editing, business communication, interview techniques, life skills, etc.
John is a writer, poet, and actor. He has been featured in various productions within the Boston and New York City areas.
John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management of Human Services from the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

I started my work experience at an early age and have had a variety of work experiences, Assistant Teacher, Advocate/Community Organizer, Domestic Violence Case Manager/Crime Victim Advocate and Career Specialist.

I have always put 110% in to my work and continue to do just that.
My clients can be assured that I will do my best to ensure that they feel free to ask for assistance with all the aspects of employment and the pursuit of it.
Have coordinated clothing drives to develop a Clothing Closet to ensure that participants have interview attire,work with the team to coordinate resource workshops on topics participants may need help with.

Mr. Billips Field Manager For Arbor's Work Advantage Program



Mr. George Billips functions as Arbor’s Work Advantage Program Field Manager. His journey began with Arbor in 2007 and since then he has rose to become an official shining star. Since his inception into the field of Social/Human services he has serviced hundreds of thousands of NYC’s At Risk Youth and Back To Work (BTW) customers. His employment background consist of the following targeted areas; Case Management, Program Management, Staff Development, Employment, Career and Life Skills Training, Community Outreach, Proposal Writing, Employment Services, Sector Training, Job Coaching, Mentorship, Special Event Planning and Coordination etc. In his daily pursuits to “help others” Mr. Billips takes this task very serious. Having the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of another person is just so rewarding and keeps Mr. Billips on a mission to impact the lives of others positively. Living by a social service slogan coined by himself H.O.P.E “Helping Other People Everyday” is what keeps this change agent grounded with a keen eye on helping to resolve societal issues and ills.
